What Defeated the Conventional Martial Arts?
What Defeated the Conventional Martial Arts?: "While growing up through the 80’s, I was fascinated by each of the magnificent martial artists I came across on television shows and in the theatre. Since I was given birth to in 79, the days of Bruce Lee had ended and the most prominent martial artists in cinema were Steven Seagal, Chuck Norris, and Jean-Claude Van Damme. These karate masters were so amusing to observe thanks to their tremendous quickness, skill, and their ability to present us with self-defense maneuvers that we had never even imagined possible. It may possibly have been the special effects, but clearly there was a mysticism about the way they moved and fought that forced you to believe they were indestructible. For me personally, these were definitely the greatest years of the martial arts."
